Winter 2020

Teleola (Tele) Kola-Edun joined Context Network in 2018 as a program coordinator in Nigeria with 6+ years of experience working with governmental, nongovernmental and international organizations in the areas of analysis, management and strategy. In her capacity as Program coordinator, she supports the development of a sustainable cassava seed system for Nigeria that is based on commercial sale of cassava planting material produced with high quality standards under the BASICS project through the Processor-Led Model. She also supports the establishment of a functional, scalable and sustainable seed yam system in Nigeria by enabling private sector players under the YIIFSWA-II project. Prior to joining Context, she worked for the World Bank Group in Washington, D.C., where she focused on policy issues in several cross-cutting sectors. In her role as a statistician, she generated policy simulations and recommendations by analyzing large quantities of household survey data from across Africa to determine viable policies that respective governments could implement to facilitate poverty alleviation. She brings to Context not only her ability to generate data using multifaceted approaches but also her ability to successfully manage large projects and teams.

Tele holds an MPA with a focus in Economics from Cornell University, and a BA in Political Science and Economics from Bryn Mawr College. She has lived and worked both in developed and emerging markets Northern America, Western Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa.
